PLEASE INCLUDE...
...MY BOYS IN YOUR PRAYERS. The last few days have been a little tense at the Puente house. Last Saturday, some friends stopped by the house to visit for awhile. They have a 6 month old baby, who Bryce and Kade were just mesmerised by. They were so excited to have a little play mate and they had the best of times playing and sharing all their new toys Santa brought them. Well, the following day, our friends contacted us that their little boy had been diagnosed with RSV. I recall being warned over and over while we were in the NICU about RSV and the potential dangers of a preemie contracting this virus. Of course, as soon as I got off the phone, I searched every web site on RSV that I could possibly find. I learned that the incubation period from the time of exposure to the first symptoms was approximately 5 days and I also learned how incredibly contagious it was. I called our doctor first thing Monday morning and there was nothing we could do but play the waiting game. Well, as we expected, both boys' noses started running Wednesday night and by Thursday we had fever and a cough that has persistently worsened. Thank goodness my boys have passed the really critical stage and are older than 6 months (11 1/2 months to be exact...can you believe it???) but being preemies still poses some risk for them. We are currently on antibiotics, steroids, and breathing treatments; thus, why I am up at this time of the morning. For the most part, the boys are happy sick babies, but it is so hard to see their little red eyes and noses and listen to their little lungs crackle with every breath. Please lift our boys up to God in your prayers. We are praying that their lungs are able to fully recover and that the infection does not continue and develop into pneumonia. As for our friends, their little guy is showing improvement and getting a little better day by day. I thank God for answering prayers.

Bryce and Kade are being prayed for by the Jenkins's!
Oh, how scary! We will be praying for the boys (and Mommy and Daddy!)too.
I'm a few days late in reading this, but I'm praying for your little men, and for their tired Mommy.
By the way, I saw your twin in the DFW airport last week...and I bet you didn't even know you had one! I almost walked up to your look-alike but I didn't want anyone calling security on my for being a weirdo - airports are so tense.
